Johannah Mackin: Music
Your Presence
I wrote the lyrics to this song on a napkin in Franklin, TN one night. I was at an evening prayer gathering and these words began as a simple confession to the Lord. I was feeling very weak and discouraged and all I could muster was enough strength to plead for His presence. I knew that a moment spent with Him would be more valuable and life-changing than any other activity I could pursue. That little napkin made its way home and survived long enough for me to write some chords to go with the words. I'm not sure what I did with that piece of paper, but the song lives on.
Your presence is what I need
Your presence like water to me
Your presence is what I need
Your presence the air that I breathe
So I will wait for You to come
I will wait for Your glory cloud
So I will wait for You to enter in
I will wait, I'll wait for You to dwell
Your presence is what I need
Your presence like water to me
Your presence is all I need
Your presence the air that I breathe
